Neighborhood Families Support Services/NFSS:

The NFSS Program, formerly known as the Family to Family Program, is a comprehensive family service that ultimately ensure that a family thrive, and a child grows up in a safe, caring environment.
Families are come to East End in two ways:

First: Some of Families are referred to us because they have become engaged with the County Division of Family Services. They may be at risk of having their children removed or are working towards reuniting with their children. Our social workers on site work in alignment with the social workers at DCFS to ensure that their family plan for success is met by actions of the family and the provision of supportive services. East End staff also serves as a critical voice for cultural humility and competency, since we understand that many neglect/abuses cases actually stem from poverty social determinants.

Second: We also prevent families from ever becoming involved with the child welfare system by providing Resources Specialists who specifically connects families to local resources and services outside of East End, hence the RISE Collaborative.

The RISE. Collaborative: Since 2002 East End has led the RISE Collaborative to provide a comprehensive support system for youth and families using its own model along with its extensive experience as a trusted service provider and community convener with a broad network of relationships with other service providers. This network of 35-40 active members represent local social service providers, schools, and churches in the Woodland Hills, Buckeye, Kinsman, and Fairfax and E. 93rd neighborhoods, share resources and coordinate outreach and services for these neighborhoods
